Does anyone know where to buy Schmierkase?  I try to make my own but it never turns out like the Mennonites used to make.  It is getting impossible to find.

When I was a kid my Grandma made it( she was old order until she met my Grandfather, then she got shunned) She always said you need to use raw milk if that helps.

That sounds like some awesome yummy !

My best buddy is coming by today sometime maybe, and his parents are mennonite/amish.

Already emailed him to ask his mom or gramma. Hopefully she has something.

Warren,
Check with Empire Cheese Factory in Campbellford. Toll Free: 1-800-461-6480
Ask if the Cream Cheese they sell is anything like what you are looking for.

Sorry Warren, buddy called and didn't slide by the other day. He said his mom knew she had an old recipe somewhere and will let us know if she finds it.
