Had this in before when my son was younger  but in a 'well' with a lid and 25 feet south on the lot. this is where I am now depthwise. I plan on wash the point down with a hose to the clay layer to be about 10-14 feet.SAM_2117.JPGSAM_2116.JPGSAM_2115.JPGSAM_2118.JPG

36" point-60" of 1 1/4 pipe. Only had to go 8 feet. Has been running for over an hour. Town water has a Sewer Surcharge-More you use/more it costs.

I am so glad I put this in; keeping my garden 'moist' AND feeding the birds. A Rodin puled out a good 5" Dew Worm and battled with it for a  3/4 minutes before it was Inhaled.

Good idea. I picked up one like that for about 30$ and got it running from the lake today.

Junior, now all you need to do is build a wind generator, and you'll be all set.

Good for you John. I have a well too. Use it every day. I don't wash the cars with it though.

Neither do I TMJ; too dirty, sandy sediment. The neighbor went on vacation a couple years back and had up the street people look after his place and water his grass. Well one time I came home and the sons car was covered in sediment from neighbors sandpoint while watering as the 'up the street' people forgot about it. I stripped a piece of flesh off his wife about the car; He was nowhere to be found! ignorant F(*&^%g people. I filled the pool once with 'ground water'. With in a day, it was filled with "Critters" Never again! LOL

that's pretty funny, i have a brother who lived on a lake north of peterborough for years and he filled his pool using a shore line sand point once to save $$ and it took most of the summer and some extra bucks to get the pool straightened out. by mid summer it looked like a giant bowl of jello the color of a shamrock.

i don't use the well either to wash cars. the lines to the barn, shop and outside water taps at the house don't go through the water softener.

I used the lake water to wash the 57 and dried it, came out cleaner than even the town water. Washed Bernice's car and left it to dry and it dried with a lot less spots than town water does.

your lucky henry, i wish i could wash here. i get a light gray haze on them here when they dry. i run 10 min into my shop in town to wash them on city water.   lol, ironic that i will clean a old classic car with the city water but i won't drink the sh!t, it smells and tastes awful compared to my well water at the house.
