FENDERS DAY 2018 We have a 16 year old fellow Hot Rodder named Jeremy that is having some Difficulty with his health. He will be our focus for this year. He is building his own 1954 Chev Hot rod truck and our good friend and fellow Hot Rodder Neil Candy is going to bring the truck here for the show. If they can get it running Jeremy will be driving it in. My request to everybody is I need some cool things to show up. Ive had a Helicopter , A Cow , Crane , Rock Crawler, Rigs ,Army Truck, Boats and Snowmobiles, etc. So if someone can think of something else thats cool that would be great and how about still bringing all of the above since Jeremy hasnt been to a fenders day and we should make this a special one for a fellow Motor Head!
Fenders 2018 update! These are some pictures of Jeremy and his truck. This is who the day is for this year. Jeremy and his dad Tim, are desperately trying to finish this truck for Fenders day, and I'd like to thank everyone who has already donated parts for the cause. Not only have they been working on this truck every day and dealing with doctors appoints, tomorrow, the 22nd of May Jeremy is having another operation. These two guys are still planning on being here with the truck and Jeremy on Saturday morning. This day is going to mean so much to Jeremy and his dad, so let's get as many people as we can to get out here and show them what we can do.
Want to thank everyone who came out and contributed to Jeremy's Fenders Day. It was a great day, the sun came out despite the forecast! One of the cool things about this year was Jeremy got to pick out cars he wanted to go for a drive in and the owner took him for a ride! Also during the show a parts over was placed (including a brand new grill) on behalf of the show with Bill's Trucks for his build and Bill delivered the order in his old GMC panel truck! Jeremy also has a good chunk of change in his pocket at the end of the day to help with his build. The family had no idea that was what they were in for - they just thought they were being invited to a car show.
Here's a clip from Neil Candy's comment about the day.
"Jeremy and his family have suffered in silence for the last 4 years and have asked for nothing other than wellness for Jeremy. You have raised the spirits for the Cassidy family and have restored our faith in humanity, which is often lost in this era . You have brought together people from all walks of life who may have not stood beside one another for a common goal of helping Jeremy with his dream of driving his truck. Thank you from all of us and espically the Cassidy Family"
