Tire Guru's . looking for suggestions
Permalink

Tire size's and thoughts and or advice.. I need to replace the front tires on my coupe.. The size on it now is  Front are P195-75-15.. .. The rear are 225-75-15.. I like the stance I got with that combination.. I have just been talking with Diamondback tires out of South Carolina and they tell me they can't get that size anymore.. They are offering me..

"Unfortunately, we do not have that exact size - 195/75/15- in any line. We do have the toyo's to match up front, but the size would be slightly different. We can do a 205/70/15 (Slightly wider, similar height) 195/65/15 (Shorter, same width)"

Any tire wise guru's that have some suggestions or recommendation..Which one of those sizes would be closest or do you recommend another size..  Thanks for your opinion..

Not a 'tire' guru but I spent 10 years of my life behind the counter at,yep CTC. yawn

I would go with either size or a 205/75/15

Just a thought,

I was leaning to that size.. I don't like the wider thing, it does make a difference steering.. and it's close.. Thanks John.. how are we doing getting into that Disc conversion..? Nothing wrong with CTC.. I have spent probably $50,000 there in my life-time.. maybe more if I add in my fuel..and 'GALLONS OF NEW-GOLD"   remember that stuff.. I had a few cars that used more NEWGOLD than fuel.. biggrin

Chuck the 205 is the way I would go too. It's only about 3/8" wider then what you have.
The problem is 15" tires  for your rims (and those beautiful Caddy caps) are becoming a thing of the past. Fourteens are even worse.

195/75 is 26.5" diameter, 205/70 is 26.3", 195/65 is 24.98", if you like the current rake and how the tire fills the opening your 205/70 is the best option with only 1/2 wider foot print.

Not much of a tire guy, but the car looks great.

It lacks Shipping information ..I was unable to find any shipping prices unless I have to complete the purchase to get the shipping costs'' But they looked like a decent tire.. Anybody have any information on the company???? or products.

You can buy American Classic through Coker tire, Universal Tire or Lucas tire, just Google "American Classic ww tires", pretty popular brand. I would think Queensway tire in Simcoe might be able to get them for you since they are a dealer for Coker.

I have heard nothing but horror stories about Coker.. mostly about the service when trying to solve a warranty issue.. many from the hamb.. I can hardly wait to to get rid of the cokers  I have .. I will say having dealt with Diamondback a couple times, they give outstanding warranty service and handle it like a sale, quickly and with no hassle .. They are just super to deal with.. I might just live with a little size difference because of the great service if I should have a problem.. Good people and good service is getting hard to find.. Thanks for the information .. I learned something I didn't know..

Good people and good service is getting hard to find.---no sh!t on that point.  i am thinking since it has pretty much turned into a disposable world with everything you buy anymore big or small, it is sell it-get it out he door-and who's next up.
