Kenny, Jerry, Homer..................The Kay brothers.
Three names synonymous with hot rodding since the 50s. Before I could drive, these guys were cruising the KW Cambridge area with hot rods inspiring local youth. Kenny, of course, painter of two Riddler winners is already in the Canadian Hot Rod Hall of Fame and justifiably so. Today the Kays continue to push Hot Rodding through such events as The Breakfast Crawl and the Deuce Merc Show. This selfless involvement and promotion of hot rodding has never left them and it is for this reason I am asking each and everyone involved in the hobby to push for their induction as a family into the CHRHF. This 60+ year continuous involvement in our hobby is truly worthy of this recognition.
Jerry Kay is already nominated for the Canadian Street Rodding Hall of Fame but you’re welcome to add your voice. Here’s the link to the Hall of Fame website for the nomination form or you can do it online. Also, you can nominate anyone else you think is worthy of this honour as well. The more information the better.
Ive only known Homer since the Canadian Hot Rod tour to Victoria BC in 2007. But I know you won't find a nicer more gracious guy. He introduced me to both brothers Ken and Jerry when they came down for the ELTA bash a couple of years ago. What a great set of brothers.
