nice pics jr. i have both of those birds around here and you kind of take them for granted. seeing them up close in these pics will probably have me taking more second looks at them though. there seems to be more red heads than finch's around here. good pics.

We get a variety of everything around our place. Just lately a couple new arrivals sitting on our veranda railing, 2 huge Blue Jays,... haven't seen any of them in this area ( other than out in the woods when trying to hunt ) for a few years. Cardinals, Orioles, ( Orioles nest in our two monster poplar trees beside the house ), Variety Of Wood Peckers, Red Winged Black Birds, Finches, little Snow Birds, Wild Turkey,.. Turkey Vultures, Crows, Grackles " The Diarrhea Specials Type ", that show up as soon as you have just finished washing the cars, and lots of Red Tail Hawks, and Owls.
I have a couple of ravens that visit regularly. Big birds.
A blue heron flew by the other day.
Bald eagles once in a while. Right now they are down at Goldstream Park feasting on the spawning salmon.

Eagles would be nice to see on the river. Watched a couple nature programs showing them eating salmon.
