The Hogtown Metalshaping Meet will be held at my work place on the third weekend of October this year.
No experience necessary and is encouraged.
I will bring all my shaping equipment from home but we could always use more shaping stuff such as e-wheels, hammers, bags, stumps, etc.
E-wheels are extremely important and a few guys brought theirs last year. I appreciate the effort they took and it would be great if it could happen again.
I have manual shrinkers and stretchers and also the Baleigh power shrinker/stretcher to play with. We have enough TIG welders so we're OK there.
BBQ lunch will be served both days. Doors open at 8:00 AM and run until everyone's burned out.
The meet will be held in the Markham Road/Finch Avenue area in Scarborough. (Toronto)
We have plenty of space for your projects, doors, hoods, fenders etc, so bring them along.
If you wish to attend please reply to this thread so I have an idea of how many are coming.
Hope there are more attending than replying, I'd love to come this time Pugsy, been too long old friend!
Hoping that maybe I can pry Nick in to coming this time as well, maybe by then we will have his door skins
made,maybe not,lol!
I found the link. I think this guy knows a bit about shaping and it would be good to be able to pick his brain. Very nice results for a scratch built truck.
Well for those of you that missed it , the hogtown metal shapping put on by our friend Pugsy was a great day / weekend for those that made it both days .Got to see many old pals and make some new ones as well. Nice to meet Niel Candy and free T shirts for all !!
Dennis Portka from NY was also there providing some good info and guidance , real nice guy and full of information needed to shift metal around .
And our host Pugsy, another great guy and huge help that opened up the doors of his well equipped shop to all of us .Providing a great lunch, snacks and drinks. All the metal and cunsumables were at hand for us as well .
All this was provided our great host Pugsy with no cost to any to any of us.
There was a donation bowl and I hope all that could did drop something in!!!
Cant wait for the next one , even if I got nothing to repair the friendships made here will keep me coming back !!!
Thanks for a great day Pugs

I agree Joe, this is an awesome weekend that I always look forward to whenever I can make it out. Thanks again Pugsy and Mike too for looking after out every need, truly an honor to know both of you. As for friendships, yes ,this is indeed the best part and learniong a small tidbit from each and every one of you always helps make my daily projects go smoother!
Hood for some kind of Ford product. It's got a lot of tracking marks, but I'm sure the next one they make will be smoother.
Chris Stapely and Neil from Candy's showing off the new box sides we bent up.
I didn't know who this guy was. Last time I seen him, he was fully bearded. Sorry bout that Nick.
John fitting up to his buck. The piece is quite close.
When they told me they wanted to bend up a floor, I pointed at the brake and told them to have at it. They moved pretty good for a couple guys that just had a crash course on the brake.
