I hope this is correct and I'm in the right place, my neighbor and I are building a 29 ford rat rod and will need some assistance from rodders who have done this before, I am a retired millwright and car nut, I have built and raced drag racers in my youth but things were different then but still have the pattion for cars old and new, I am the only mechanic that touches my cars and vans so I've had to learn a bit to keep up with changes, the name that I chose was the only one that I could think of at the time and dose't mean that I know alot about Vans, I'm learning and restoring a 1988 van for camping and traveling to LA this fall, I'm also into boats and grand children and hope to talk to all of you soon

You mean what will it need to pass a safety? Cracks in tires are no good, probably needs full fenders front and back, must have a horn, wiper (at east one for driver, maybe 2) working low and high beam, turn singles, bumpers front and back....other things I am forgetting too probably. Maybe with the year being so early, some of things actually are not necessary as the car wasn't manufactured with them in the first place? Sorry, maybe I am not much help for you here. All of this is up to the shop willing to write you the form, of course.
