FENDERS DAY Well I just met Eamon. What an amazing little boy. His story goes like this. In November 2016 he was a normal 5 year old boy. In December his family and teacher noticed he was having balance problems . His Mom took him to the doctors and they sent them to a Pediatrician but there was a waiting list for 6 months. The next day as Eamon was getting on the bus his Mom noticed him swaying. Right then and there he was taken to Sick Kids and by the next morning he was in an Eleven hour head operation. They found a brain tumor on his brain stem which caused a massive fluid build up and then they found a blood clot and brain bleed. All these things together added so much pressure in Eamons head , he was lucky to survive. They got to the hospital just in time. Close to a week later he finally woke up. He was unable to talk, eat, walk or move at all. The tumor is not cancer and shows no sign of growing back. Here we are now 5 months later and he is slowly coming off some medicines , he is able to eat and drink now and three weeks ago he started to talk again. Eamon is talking and giggling up a storm. Through all his hard work, a number of therapists , nurses and doctors, Eamon is heading toward what we can only pray a full recovery. Eamon and his twin sister, Isla, turned six in march. They have another sister, Amelie who is seven, three dogs and two devoted parents. It was amazing to meet him and he is very excited about coming on Fenders days and best of all he loves Cars and Hot Wheels lol.
