Saw a great car today - someone buy this thing!

I'd love to see this car go to a good home to help out the great couple who own it now. 1951 Chevy 2 door sedan

I posted in 'The Lounge' because I don't want this to be a for sale thread, just a tip for one of you, if you are looking for something to buy and drive right away this season. And to help a nice guy and gal, obviously.

I went to see it yesterday hoping I could convince myself to buy something to drive while my Apache is finishing up, but better to be patient and wait on my truck build...costs are still adding up with it. So, if anyone is in the market for (or knows someone in the market for) something cool, sub $10k, 99% rust free and needs no rust repair at all, brakes and tires are great, EVERYTHING electrical works, pass safety no problem, quietest and smoothest old engine I've ever heard, great interior....this is the one.

It is being sold by a kind, elderly couple who have already gotten an offer for $8500 from a local bodyshop owner (sorry if that's you, I don't intend to wreck your plans) so you'd have to move fast, but this is worth every cent of the $9k  FOR SURE!!

Car is located in Cobourg, 2 mins off the 401.

Exactly...I can't believe how nice it was in person too. It starts right away, all the lighting and gauges work...just needs chrome grill and bumpers and some lowering and BAM. I swear I will never build something from the ground-up again...kicking myself over and over....

That's not all that uncommon though - plenty of people don't drive their driveable cars :(

Lot's in my neighborhood that hardly ever see sunlight.
