About 7-10 years ago when I had a job there was a guy that owned one of those two wheel drive bikes.
He lived in St.Thomas and worked in north east London. It's about 20or so miles. He would ride that POS winter and summer. It was like watching someone with a death wish when it was snowy.

I like the side car and I would think it is great on fuel, I wonder if he is using studs or chains

I figure it's one of 4 things:
1) He likes motorcycles a lot,
2) He gave his nice warm car/truck to his loving wife.
3) His wife took him for everything he had and that's all he got left or
4) He's tired of her $hit, he's leaving with all his prized possessions and I bet his dog is in the side car!

Numbers 1 to 4 sound like the start of a country and western song.
The idiot at work that I used to see was a menace to the road. He couldn't drive the speed the cars were going on a slippery road because he was almost out of control all the time. The cars had to try to get around him, was like passing 3 bicycles riding abreast on a two lane road. Then add snow just to make it interesting.

janie, i would guess it would depend on the direction he was headed up there in your end of the province.

-if he was headed south he might just be headed for bike week in daytona. a stupid thing to be doing but possible, maybe.

-if he was headed north then he is just plain nuts.

No dog in sidecar thank god. So even if his wife was a dragon, glad the dog

had enough smarts to stick with the devil you know and not risk that trip.😂

 He was heading north.

i had a buddy that saw him pulled over by opp in northbound lane around Huntsville.

and then he was just outside of South River heading north when I saw him.

if I wasn't so shocked when I saw him it took me a couple minutes to process what I saw, I would

turned around and asked him what he had ingested the night before?

The roads were crap when I was driving so just can't imagine being that die hard.

Many years ago, there was motorcycle races on the frozen Hamilton harbour.
They wrapped chains around the tires or had studs sticking out.

Don't want to get off the original track but. A buddy of mine that lives behind me goes ice racing on bikes. They use studed tires on the two wheeled bike. He also races with what they call a sideHACK. It's an extra wheel on the right side. They run solo or with a passenger and the tires on these are shredded no studs. They have to race in Michigan because you can't do that here in the land of NO.

Back in the day I bought a "bike" from my shop teacher. Brought it home in a couple of boxes part wise. Lol

It was a little Yamaha 125 oval track racer and I don't think he ever thought I would put it back together.

I used to race around on a cleared track on the ice/ lake Up here.

Everyone else was running 4 wheelers. Had an absolute blast with that thing.

of the 8 or 9 street bikes I've owned over the years that thing was the craziest.

It looked a lot like this one but had some blue on it.

But I'm just not that dedicated anymore that I would jump on one in a snowstorm and fly down the Hwy.😳😂
