Didn't you just buy this in the summer, thought this was your forever car, nice ride and good luck.
My wife likes doing the cruise night thing,.. ( myself not so much ) ..but she won't even attempt driving the '62 because of the 4 speed transmission,..and she isn't really too friendly with the diameter of the original steering wheel either. They just delivered the new carpet for the car this week, that has to be installed yet,..so if I still have the car by next Feb / March, ( getting close to cruising season about then ) I will order up a rebuilt Auto. tranny,...pull the brake and clutch pedal assembly, and find a power brake pedal assembly,...another original steering column manufactured for an automatic with a shift lever, ( no place on the column that's in the car now to even install a shifter handle ),...and while I'm at it I may just as well install some power steering, and maybe ( hopefully ) she can live with the original steering wheel. Was entertainig the idea of building up something this winter for myself ( another Model A ) then decided maybe I better look around for something in the line of a street rod that's already built,..probably going to be busy enough getting the '62 ready for her.
