At Least 9 stolen cars from Car Craft Show

Just heard at least 9 cars were stolen last week from various hotels during the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals-one chevelle guy Gerry Chartier from Ontario had his 68 Chevelle stolen-I am sure there must be a list of cars stolen somewhere on the internet-so we can keep our eyes and ears open.

Keep on Cruising!

Gerry is from ThunderBay-the hotel where his car was stolen had non working surveillance cameras so no video footage of the theft-remind me not to stay at that hotel!
Keep on Cruising!!!

Really very discouraging. Obviously well organized, walked the show picked out what they wanted and stalked them is my thought.

Feel for the guys but a hidden shut off for the coil, fuel shut off, battery disconnects, go a long way to stopping a thief dead in their tracks. IMO if they stole 9 cars in one night they probably just hot wired them and drove away.

Any big show like this everybody knows the surrounding hotels are going to be packed with participants. . Cameras or alarms won't stop a professional thief . If your traveling in a group post a guard .

I agree with oldkoot. Disarm the electrical system on your car. Cheap and easy to do.

My wife and I drove our Falcon to Vancouver Island and back on our honeymoon 30 years ago. Each night I removed the ignition rotor and turned off off the hidden battery power switch.

Being a ragtop there was no point in locking the car.

We towed a small travel trailer and the odd night we'd camp in a Lions or community park. We were on the road 27 days and never encountered an issue.

On the other hand mebbe I'm the only guy who likes Falcons that much.

That really sucks for the folks who've lost their rides. Having an everyday driver stolen is a nuisance. Losing your hot-rod is much more personal, it really p*sses me off.

easiest thing to do is have a cheap cell phone and leave it on under the seat, set up the tracker ap. you can even wire the charger right in to keep it alive.............. then hope you can find it before it is in a sea container headed to South America.............
