Hi Guys, one of my favorite classes is running at Brighton Speedway this Saturday night...the Southern Ontario Sprints. My son and I will be covering the Picton Armdrop through the day and hitting Brighton on the way home! If you haven't seen these guys, you need to!

Believe it or not, I grew up at Brighton speedway. Literally. Lived at the then farm then track from age 5 to 15. My father built it and ran it until 1976.

That must have been a heck of an upbringing Larry! A lot of fun no doubt...
My son and I try to get out at least once a month especially when the SOS's and LM's are running. Great side-by-side and sideways racing.

It had it's good and bad points growing up at the speedway. Met lots of great people, saw some great racing and have memories I wouldn't change for anything. That said, I grew up running equipment at an early age working on that place. I was 11 years old and tipped our dump truck on it's side hauling clay. It seemed we never stopped working growing up.
