thank you for the update on this doug. for some reason i had it in my noggin it was this weekend and i couldn't do it. my brothers and i rent a cottage at bensfort bridge for the pickerel opening every year and family tradition would out weigh a race or 2. although it's the same lie's every year but as you get older sometimes you can't remember them all. lol -are you ready to go yet with the car and the new exhaust? seeing how i have another week i should be ok now, lol. i have a slight intermittent rear brake drag to solve and should be good to go.
the weather so far looks good for saturday but it's a lifetime away now. curious, what gears are you going to be running down there? if its high 4's or low 5's i might have a shot on the longer track, maybe. lets make sure we have our ownerships with us, lol-lmao. see you there bud, curious to see how that car is working now. rick
hahaha, rick, no ownership just the bill of sale, will that be okay ??? lol. quite a few of us nostalgia guys lift at the 1/8th mark because of low gear ratios. my car is 4.56. the car has a totally different sound to it with the new fenderwells and i'm looking forward to testing it out. billy's bug now has a rear suspension and we're interested to see how it behaves. see you there rick.
Hey guys have a great weekend of racing. Doug, I cannot make it this weekend but I will get there before the end of the season. I want to see and hear that Stude running flat out.
Just a few pics for you Doug...the Stude was in fine form again yesterday. That said, I think the flag girl thinks your new pipes are too loud...lol! More pics to come on my site soon.
Just an awesome day and some beautiful cars present both at the strip and the car show! Can't beat the $5.00 value!
I am sorry that Picton is just to darn far for me to go for a day.. it's not only the drive It's the money too, I would have to stay over night just getting to old to make that long a drive in one day.. But you car looks pretty damn cool Doug. I hope to try and make some-time to watch you race.. Looks like a blast..Glad to have here on this board..

i hear ya chuk. i'm nearly 4 hours to cayuga with no traffic and around 6 hours to sparta. too much fer an old coot with diabetes and a cpap machine hahahaha. and till i get the cataracts fixed i don't care much for night driving. good lord - after re reading this, what am i ? a hundred years old. lol. i content myself with running in the nostalgia series that shannonville puts on and doing the armdrop events. i can be at either in 2 - 2 1/2 hours and it's nice to support local events to help them gain popularity as well. i've been asked to bring the stude to the elta bash and i'd love to, but it's just too durn far.
I hear yah on the assisted living devices. I have one of those Air hoses-c-paps too going on 4 years now.. no Diabetes but blood preesure pills, serious arthritis in the knees and ankles that slow me down a lot now-a-days and more weight than I need for my hight..
