I am seeing nice muscle cars with mods being sold for less than expected prices. I figure that this because of the new Saftey laws coming up that could devalue a car. thanks to the fiberals and climate changes This is just wrong.

Maybe it's just the market for muscle cars is not commanding good $$ right now?

Personally I'm hoping the market for for every kinda hotrod falls flat on it's face so I can afford them.
I could care less about value, I just wanna drive them.

fatchuck Old school customs seem to be doing just fine and holding their own. I could sell mine at least once a month. I have had some very serious offers and have almost pulled the trigger a couple of times. Reality set in and I realized what the heck I would replace it with. I know what I have and what went into it and how easy it is to go backwards without even thinking about it.

I agree with modfather on the Old School Customs. I don't think they will ever disappear, they have been around a long time and still look cool in any car show or cruise night.

I've been thinking about this the last few years. Maybe because I'm getting older, but as with most motor builds I've always looked at what I have and put combinations together that give me good power with a nice choppy cam. Once it's all built, I let it eat a few times, but not long after I drive that thing like grandma going to church on Sunday.

I'm thinking about getting a wrecked donor with modern electronics and swapping out the works. Better fuel mileage, better emissions and smoother to drive.

If I weren't this old , I would be thinking the same a lot more reliable easy starts, and for all the reasons you said. In my eye I see a lot more cars being built that way as there are a lot of trucks around with V8 engines..
