Was looking for a project and found this from Pickering April 2013, it's a Canadian made 1938 Dodge D8 4d sedan, a complete original car with flat head 6 218cid and 3 speed manual, not been driven in 50 years and a bit rusty... my plan is to keep it fairly original... it really wasn't this shiny, just wet from the rain...
May-October 2013
Started with a tear down, a bit more rust than I thought... but everything was there so quite happy still, and I bought this car to have something to do so...
Met Joe when he offered help to remote the broken bolt from the anti-sway bar bracket. He was kind enough to let me fill his garage with Dodge parts and rust dust... "loaned" some new leafs from his storage, painted the suspension/steering/brake components in his warm garage. Thanks Joe!!
Bought a new front end with 1974 Dodge Charger disk brakes installed.
Finished the front part of the frame, some rusty spots and welded the motor mount nuts inside the frame and painted it.
Bought a "new" engine from Gazoo, it's a 50's model so should have a higher compression ratio 7.5 to 1, has also a narrow pulley belt size so the new 12V alternator fits easier. Added some paint, and installed to engine bay.

Heh, this site is great, it even updates the thread by itself
Thanks Joe, sure I can manage in a small garage when I get help from guys like you... I may have some SISU gum left... and sure I can explain what to expect in Finland, no sun burn, mosquitos, damn hot place called sauna where naked people are hitting each others with a broom...
Welcome from the Soo
