Hey I was trying to think of other topics for the forum.. I did add a home repair, renovation, appliance repair.. I have been trying to think of other discussions among us, that we often have problems with at home.. You know, you work all week and plan to work on your car/truck project and the washing machine dies.. or some home thing "Honey do list" thing comes along, or you have a deck project to build.. So why would we not do some talking to a member here that does that or maybe can lend us a tool or maybe a good deal on some good cedar..Does that offend anybody here because we are rodders??? I am just curious about what you all think about adding some other subjects..just looking for feed back as the board/forum is fairly new.. 3 months and growing ..I would like to make it so we have lots to share and talk about here .. So if you have any ideas I would be open to hearing about your thoughts..Thanks for your input.. I want the forum to be a good place for a morning coffee if, your ride is done and to-day your building a fence or working on your lawnmower, your boat, your bike, ETC .. It's about the commroddery..biggrin and helping one another

Chuk

dealing with all life's realities.

A real good idea Chuck,...I have never had any formal training in carpenetr work,..but next to cars and airplanes,..that is something that I really enjoy,..and every year I get the worse case of wanting to build something,...I pretty much built my house,..built my shop,...when I got into motorcycles,..I decided I needed a separate building to house it,....figured a 8'x10 would be perfect for one bike,... staked it out,.. took a look at the skimpy dimensions,...and ended up with a 12' x 24' building,...same with the first building I built for my chopper,...it too was going to be an 8'x 10',...ended up with an 18' x 20',... pretty much have my lot filled now, ( keeps the lawn mowing to a minimum ),...but we just aquired another 2 acres that joins right onto the back of our property,..so I am good to go again,...:>) :>)

I think I will keep this thread going till maybe next week-end and see what our members all have for input.. I will have to try to find a couple headings to try and group things to-gether that can all fit under a certain umbrella so we don't have 20 topics. So far we have some great suggestions ..I believe I can set some headings and then when you open that heading I can break it down to some sub headings.. But I think the wider we encompass other subjects that has an interest to others I think it would be better for the board..Rodding will always the reason why we have the board, but why not have a heading for stuff like has been suggested

Jarvis1 :Hiking, boating, fishing, hunting, camping, RVing, road trips taken, cars you wish you still had, cities visited that you liked, cities visited that you didn't like,.....   These are all great biggrin smile

Cheyenne:I have never had any formal training in ccarpenter work,..but next to cars and.... airplanes more great stuff..smile

TMJ Rick: I'll try the new section 'cuz I need help with BING!!!!! Excellent Idea.. computers, cell phones, laptops, satellite TV.. internet stuff.. I have trouble with all these..more great ideas  biggrin smile

58 Chev Frank: If I ain't at work, I'm working on my home. I definitely think we can cover Home renos and repairs, from roofing to heating systems..smile I have a water furnace Goethermal 25 years and still ticking away..I have set up a house and renovations forum I believe I can ad some sub heading topics under that umbrella

Junior: You could call it "Been There,Done IT", I think we will have to have a few more forum heading to cover about 5 to 6 more topic headings..

Thanks to you guys for the suggestions Lets keep adding a few more and maybe the next cold wet rainy day I will try to implement some of these .. I am still learning how not to screw up the board..I was changing some stuff yesterday and lost all the intros.. scared the hell out of me and I was soaking wet sweating .. But after about two hrs I was able to get it back and fix it ..WHEW..confusedisbelief frustrated.gifbut it ate up my whole day..

HI CHUCK : Love your idea of letting others in on your " Goings on " -- Here'a little taste of one of my plans -- As many of you have already read on this board , my wife Gail and I had a terrific trip to S / W Ontario , last August . With my roots in Woodstock a hundred years ago , and the Aug trip including the ELTA Bash ( Talk about Hospitality !! ) , the Woodstock Streetfest and the Jalopy Jam-Up , we decided to rent a B & B in Port Dover for the entire month of June this year , and just plain do whatever gets in our way while down there-- a lot of cruises / car shows , but mainly just look at a bunch of smaller towns I have never toured , but grew up with . The " being there " is the main reason , But , since the '51 will be my daily driver for that month , the car scene ( and car people ) will figure heavily into our " loose schedule " . Let's hear from some of our members on their plans -- Don't forget , I have room for your travel trailer at my house on the Rideau Waterway , after the first of July -- LATER -- DON / FLEET 51

One of the other forums I am on has an "Aftermarket Product & Vendor Review"

Basically a place to let people know of good and bad products that you have had experiances with, remedies for those problems, etc., and same goes for the companies that supply them.

Chuk,
I'm liking the sub-forums. Keeps the main page from growing and looking too busy
