car versus deer, and guardrails, and an embankment :-(

So my niece and her boyfriend were traveling home from T.O. to Huntsville last night and got up close and personal with a deer. Then a sh*t show ensued.

The deer  hit the windshield and then they took out 8 guardrails before going down an embankment. Only injuries she suffered as passenger were facial/eye injuries and were from airbags thank the lord. It could have been much worse. He was driving and didn't have a scratch on him.

I was actually surprised how well they faired out in such a small car. The car is now stripped and drained and ready for the scrap yardcry.mooks car.JPGmooks car1.JPGmooks car2.JPG

Honestly terrible time of year for deer and moose all over the place this time of year up here. Art averages a call a week for mva/versus deer/moose rescues.

Be careful out there guys.

That's a nasty one Janice, I'm glad it turned out as well as it did, cars can be replaced.
My Cousin lives in Sprucedale, near Burks Falls and there are a lot of moose there for sure.
We did $3,400 dollar damage to my wife's Crossfire last year we won deer lost!

Good to hear the injuries were not too bad. It sure happens fast,, my wife got one on the way to work back around christmas. She was on a little two lane black top road that crosses over the 401. It did in the grill and front fender.

Glad everyone is okay!  I believe the hunt limits on Deer should be increased 2 fold Province wide, especially in areas where Deer are known to herd.

IMHO
