Arrived to day, and shook my head in disbelief-    JURY DUTY

I hope the Defence Lawyer will say  'Challenge' when my number is called.

Wish me luck, Oh and no pay if selected for 49 days. Give me a F@#$ing break.

junior sorry to hear that if it is like here you will be there for a bit if there is several cases up and they will choose from all that are there till cases are full then you are done till the next batch comes along it sucks but it is our right good luck

Is this the letter that asks questions about you or the letter with the date and time on it?

The time I had to go I got called up I went to the front of the court room. I stood there with a disgusted look on my face looked straight at the accused.  

Igave a little head shake from side to side. I was out of there in no time

 good one tmj. lol   several yrs ago i got called and when they asked if i knew of any reason i shouldn't be there i said i know of one of the 2 guys, i was gone.  it wasn't murder but it was bad.

Got a phone call this morning before 9AM, my services are Not required for Jury Duty on the 24th,

Dodged that one pal...good for you! Having served Jury Duty twice in Whitby I can confirm it is NOT fun!

If you don't do jury duty you now have to go to Queens Park and stand behind Broom Hilda for one of those photo ops.

There are serious consequences for not having your "I am a supporter" face on!

Easier going to court for 49 days.

In Ontario, jurors are usually paid $40 starting only on the 11th day of trial, which increases to $100 a day if the trail goes longer than 50 days. For the Stafford trial, jurors are being paid $40 a day from the outset and will have their compensationincreased to $100 a day as of the 25th day of trial.Nov 8, 201

The first thing out of  my mouth would be..... you think Im going to sit here and be treated like a slave while the rest of you are making 4 figures a day . go f### yourself.

If I lived just a couple miles east of my present address , I would qualify for mileage. Since I am 10 miles away , I don't. no

This is my 3rd time for Civic duty; Ist one I had dealings with the accused ,he had a Recording Studio, he was using some of my Senheiser 421 and 441 mic's ,I got off.

Second one ,I sat there all !&@$ing day, never called up and sent home.

I am glad they called so as Not to screw up my weekend.

BUT,  I am certain I will be called upon again because I am on Disability disbelief
