Chuck asked if I would post this, AM radio stations are nearly obsolete so most factory radios fill the dash space only. Many guys will hang a late model FM/CD unit under the dash, hide it in the glove box or maybe stick one under the seat. Well I came across another option that cost less than $100 including the speakers, will play your favorite tunes, will receive FM stations and the head unit is smaller than a flip top pack of smokes. In my case the head unit is mounted to the side of the glove box, no CD but songs are loaded onto an SD card and will hold 400+ songs, the control panel is 1" square. Not a high tech receiver but does the trick when space is limited.

Is there a web-site for this.. also do they have them with a USB plug as apposed to the SD card..and how many GB is your SD card and can you use an 8 GB Just asking ..I am seriously looking at doing something with my in the glove box radio..I hate it there but I have no room in the dash with the A/C controls mounted in the radio opening..and no real place to mount it ..So where is your actual radio?? or is this just an FM receiver with the S-D card option..??

It's under the "classic audio tab", they offer many more styles than when I bought from them a few years ago. Chuck I think it will take up to a 4G SD card or memory stick, I simply put a music CD into the lap top and converted the songs to MP3 files and loaded them onto the SD card, like I said there are over 400 songs on the card and think I'm using half of a 1G card. The only downside to the unit is you have to step through the song selections as they are on a single track, no shuttle, the FM receiver has no presets but will hold the last station you where listing to, you can toggle between MP3 songs and the FM, radio antenna is built in, output is only 25 W/channel so don't expect a big thumping audio,there is no treble or bass control, think of it as a 60's am radio and you'll be happy with this unit.
I paid $59.95 for the receiver/ control panel and another $20 for a pair of the Porsche 356 radio speakers.
Well in order to get the options I want it will cost me a bit more but I do like the options on this one..probably gonna set me back about $400 by the time I get it..with the damn shipping, and import duty and exchange rate ..but even so when I think of all the money I spend on other chit. I do like my music when I am out in the car .Since my Wife does not come often anymore...( health reasons) I like that it has an input for my sat radio, and a USB ..I use those lap-top small portable hard drives with a USB cord and you can put 10,000 songs or more on them. So in the big picture $400 is not all that bad, it only hurts till your out cruising and crank it up on the way to of from somewhere..

You may want to go with the next model up, totally wireless and add the 6 disc CD changer BUT get ready to part with about $700, or if you want to add blue tooth for your cell phone throw in another $200
I like the look of this one ..I did not see that one I will have to look again to find the specs on this one..I really want the 200 watts.
Oh Yeah by the way they are very nice and neat looking installations you have done Don..Pretty damn good workmanship..I like things done nice and tidy..every one of those looked like great workmanship..
