Shipping a camper trailer
Permalink

Just curious if anybody on here has done this and has a contact number. We have been looking at a 5th wheel camper trailer but it's located in Edmonton Alberta. They never made too many of this type and the ones they did build were built out west. Looks to be about a 3000 km trip each way and I don't have a 5th wheel hitch..YET

Thanks for any tips.

what size is it, as that will help determine your options. i know the brother-in-law use to run out with a double drop float trailer and he was always looking for something back that he didn't have to run south into the states for a back haul. most those guys get paid a return rate on the way out load. check with the railway also as you might get a surprise on the rate. there is not much coming out of there that isn't in a tank car for oil or wheat.

There are also a couple members of ELTA that have car haulers (as in 7 - 9) at a time. If you get a hold of Mark, he will probably give you the names.
