Kinda windy here. Last time it was like this I lost an entire row of 60' pine trees....into our vineyard.....into our backyard.....into the pool.....lost the shingles off 3 houses and 2 barns.

Don't want to see that again

Well, so far it has ripped the fascia off the south side of the house, the eave trough off the North side.  I have 1 large tree down,   after busting my butt with bad knees an 10 hrs of picking up branches and debris last week, I now have more debris than I had before the last clean up.. I had one of those canvas shelters out side by the shop, been there for over ten years. Now most of it is some where in Perth County and I have the frame with most of the stuff still inside the frame. I managed to get on the ladder and using 14.2 wire clamps, I managed to at least drive a few nails to hold the fascia until this stops.. I did have to take the tin snips and cut some good chunks off the fascia I just was not able to reach and my knees were shaking to bad to try to go higher.. It took all I had to try to hang on the ladder.. but the fascia was flapping and slashing at the siding and the window .. I was afraid it would eventually break the window or tear an opening in the siding and then the wind would have a foothold to start ripping it off.. My recycling pails are probably someplace in the fields,at least they will stopped in or near the bush when I go looking for them to morrow.. I lost hydro a 100 times for seconds at a time.. my computer desk top has been rearranged several times.. I now have all the branches and debris from the bush scattered around my yard and lawn.. the wind is still really bad I have seen the same hawk outside my window motionless and just looking like a still picture with his wings are spread and he is not going anywhere he is just quite pretty suspended in time... the wind here is still ferocious and it will not be cheap to clean up and make repairs.. I can hear my insurance company telling me about it's an act of God.. we can't insure you for when God is angry..  I am not having a good day to-day..  that I have been sick for two days from some prescription medication mix up .. they changed some of my blood pressure pills they mixed some up and lowered my blood pressure so much I have been being dizzy from the pills. not a good time trying to hang off the ladder trying salvage my fascia from doing anymore damage.. So to answer your question yes.. I have been getting blown around a little.. biggrin biggrin...........cry cry no... I am refraining from adding my emotions.. We will get past this..and live to clean up again..biggrin

Pretty bad here.

Two big explosions and power gone for twelve hours. Small branches all over the place.

I discovered hand pumping the sump by candle light is not as romantic as it sounds....

I think we got off lucky, although disappointing, we just lost a large spruce tree in the backyard.
Fell right on the grass didn't hit my shed or any fence!

Had no power for 27 hours.
Lost about 5 course of shingles on one corner of my roof. Spent Sunday morning up there repairing.

Neighbours don't like my generator for some reason. confuse well, it kept me up most of the night too. no
