Are '40's different then the earlier drums on mech. Brakes?

Is wear a issue?

I think 39 to 48 will fit .Mechanical drums will be different .

Wear is always an issue My drum is good , but it is bent and you can feel the car wobble slightly while driving .

Spoke with Vern today.Very nice  guy to chat with.Turns out Vern and my father were good friends and knows my Uncle Hazen well .Thanks Warren Vern and I are going to get together next week and get these 40 rear drums figured out.
