A dear friend of mine Jerry Plante or Grumpy to his friends passed away a couple of weeks ago from cancer with not much notice. He was storing a 283 that he had bought off me last year that we were going to put in his 52 chev truck to beat the emissions police. His widow has asked me to sell the motor as the truck is on its way to Alberta with his son.

Now the scuttlebutt is the engine is a 66 283 (3849852) out of an impala that has been bored 30. The heads are (14022801) 86 305 HO. Basically everything the same as the original heads but with hardened seats for newer gas. This was a running engine when pulled and the heads replaced

Cam is 1156G (280 lift,280 duration hydralic)

Comes with 2 intakes, one on the engine is a square 4 and the other is for a qjet

Comes with everything in the pics plus the ram horns. He had the parts to install it in the truck

chris, you got a home for them lights, if not i might , maybe. if they are the real deal they probably should end up on another caddi though. i bought a 58 impala way back in the day that had them on it and it was a pretty cool subtle looking add on.    rip jerry
