i have thought of something similar to this idea also but it would boil down to the logistics of it i would think. guessing there would be camping or motels involved to make the trip worth while for the farther out guys and gals. i know for myself anything much over a 100mi and a full day of socializing i would be looking for a bed rather than the 2-3 hour drive back in the dark. not that i won't/can't drive in the dark but if i don't have to i would prefer not to in the old cars.
-2 i would like to do is the woodward cruise and the moparfest also. there not bucket list but i think they would be a grin. the pomona swap meet was a bucket list to-do and it was well worth the effort. my coronet came outa there with some other stuff before i made the trip to see it.

its a good idea but how is the ?. no matter where it won't work for everybody and that's to be expected but i would be in. there are some people on here i would like to meet, maybe lol, and there is the networking aspect of it also.

Mopar and woodward are the same weekend. Best day for both is Saturday (IMO) and 300KM apart. I hear Flint is real good and a different date.

if you get close to me in St.Marys with that cornet I would love to get you to show it to my old friend in the nursing home here, I know it will bring him to tears. His first new car and he ran it hard and all ways had a smile on his face he is well known in this town as the old hot rodder that could shift a 4 spd with out the hood dropping at all. he comes out to my place in his wheel chair, hands me tools and gives me advice when every I have one of my cars on the hoist it is kinda funny and I love it

I would like to get some thing going just to meet others on here and get to know them. I know not every one can attend but could be a good way to meet up and chat. I will have to say I have had the chance to meet a few on here and they have all been first class folks

Rick

I would never go back to Woodward. It's day has come and gone. Lots of people and lots of Toyotas. If anything, earlier in the week before the crowds arrive and the lookers who want to be part of the parade are there. I haven't been to Flint, but I keep hearing from my old Woodward buddies that it is way better. Moparfest sounds a lot better.

Been to Woodward for last 15 years, and, ya, it's gettin old. Flint is called, 'Back To The Bricks', and is on Wed. Four years ago, a couple friends were going to Flint, when the US border guy asked them if they had any weapons. 'No, we're Canadians', so the border guy says, ' you may think about gettin something before you get there', and he was serious. Some areas of Flint are pretty rough.
