Well why not...

Hi all, sadly my shop is not my shop :(     I have a very indulgent father who is just too damn nice a guy to kick me out.   I've got big plans for my own shop, down size the house and seriously super size the garage, but patiently waiting for the not so little ones to fly the coop. Gotta quit cooking with cheese...

But I do have a couple of interesting tools

I am super proud of this guy, designed and built it myself. she works awesome

Also modified this lil guy, he worked awesome...

Reluctantly sold him to trade up to this lil beauty, currently making a new stand that will adjust to a sitting or standing position.

While building the English wheel I thought it would be cool, so I had to have one of these

which I soon realized didn't have enuff horsepower. Endless Kijiji searches and auctions I found this, and I built another bench, (again, super proud)

Got a couple super duper finger removers, The cold cut saw is freakin amazing, absolutly love it

The bender, will not bend the unbendable

The ultimate frustration station, dont have a pic of it but I carved out an old school wooden stump for hammer shrinking. It's surprising what you can do with an old baseball bat

Electro shock therapy

Maybe someday Ill build something that isn't another tool

Lastly and most important, I am blessed with an understanding wife who is helping me with my tool addiction. (Yea right, who am I kidding...  TOOLS RULE!!!)

You my friend are a lucky Dude.. Great access to some great tooling.. I would have killed for that 30 years ago.. You are a lucky fella.. You should be able to build Riddler cars with tooling like that.. Nice.. Very Nice..If you wait till all the kids are gone to build your shop you will be like a lot of us worn out old grey beards.. My kids are all gone and so is my energy and health now that I could have a shop full of that nice stuff.. I can't help but wonder what  this hobby will look like in another 30 years..confuse

Although somewhat younger I'm on the same page as Chuk the older you get the quicker the years pass and am playing catch-up with the health then the trinkets & tools & toys . Still doesn't offset time and equity invested in our offspring tho. We'll get there tho .

My next question BamBam is when and where regarding one of these metal meets all Ive had to use in the past are different hammers/dollies a stump and a couple chunks of rail iron and occasionally a sheet metal brake to manipulate metal - mostly really good results but labour intensive .

Grumpy50 Larry,
Keep your eyes peeled for a post by PUGSY, usually the meet is in April at his work/shop, located in Scarborough.

Always a good time, I've been to a couple meets.
