Happy New Year Guys :    Does anyone know of a 1 inch sway bar that is a ( reasonably ) direct fit for the original , on a 1951 - 1954 Chevrolet . Any ideas and opinions would be appreciated . I can buy a new one , but would have to re-mortgage the house to get it here . Thanks in Advance --  LATER --  DON / FLEET 51

shipping seams to be expensive, not sure if it is a rip off or justified, it stops me from getting some parts to at times. May be we need to some how come up with a universal usa shipping address close to the boarder that would work for any member as I see lots of time free shipping with in the states on certain car parts.

I have five shipping addresses scattered along the border depending where I am going. A common address? Who is going to pick it up and pay the taxes at the border and disperse the items to the buyers and collect any expenses involved?

Roethels Parcel Service, 1801 Ford St, Ogdensburg Ny 13669,  charge is $5/ shipment, shipping within the US is normally free with most vendors. If it's less than $200, most times Canada Customs won't even bother with the GST.

Don, take a look at the front bar from a crown Vic about 89 or so. I used one on my 57 and a little adjustment to the angle and it fits like a glove. Pretty cheap and no shipping.

Why would it be a universal address then, huh???????? I can think of at least 20 drop points around the borders of Ontario alone. Wouldn't you just use the one closest to you?

Yep Don I had to bend the out board ends to make it fit like a glove. Crown Vic is a solid bar, just let it air cool
Welded brackets on the control arm
