Well, Mark Rogerson, the Prez, is up to it again. He put together a 40 page submission to the Hall to induct Charlie Haviland. They said "sorry our list is complete for this year." Well they called Mark and said that due to Charlie's age and health situation that they would make an exception and induct him this year.
So Charlie, his son Scott, Mark AND the "Charlie Horse" 23 "T" are in Montreal this weekend attending the induction ceremony.

Thanks for those great words brother Wayne....another first for the ELTA ....this past weekend was a blast hanging out with all those drag racing greats.....and seeing good old Charlie Haviland get is dues after so many years......congrats Charlie and the Haviland Family.
How about a list of all the 2016 inductees . Besides Charlie I see Bill Kydd ; Terry Capps and Bob Beezer who are all legends and very deserving.
If you go on the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame website you'll get the complete list of this years inductees and the 2015 list.....this is only the second year of the hall with big plans for the future.
John Waldie, Rob Potter, Bert Straus, Venice Perno, Norm Nooddle, Wayne Lang, Bill Kydd, Charlie Haviland, Rob Evans, Bob Elliot, Vic Beleny, Bob Beazer and Jeff Arend to name most of the Ontario lads that got in this year.....congrats to all. I was very proud to be able to put together a hard bound book on Charlie Havilands racing career to put forward with my submission to the Hall of Fame.....congrats Charlie.....best wishes to the Haviland
Great Job Mark: I would like to to see Mike Lowden nominated for next year.
Mike Lowden would be a great candidate for the "Street Rod Hall of Fame" Chuck that is coming up this Sat. Oct. 22 in Waterdown I believe.........but Charlie Haviland and the book are going into the "Drag Racing Hall of Fame".
