I am getting a squeaky noise in one of the wheels.  I took it in today and they said the brakes were A1 and could not find anything wrong.  He suggested that I might have glazing and to get up to 100 then slam on the brakes...I haven't done it yet but was wondering if this is common.  I was just going to get some brake cleaner first before I went down this road.

I don't like to run down another mechanic with out all the facts.. Did he road test it, and remove the wheels to make a visual inspection.. if he did then I am not sure of his qualifications.. He should have made sure the slides and pins were free, cleaned the pads and put some antisqueal between the back of the pads and where they sit in the caliper.. Squealing is mostly caused from the pads vibrating and usually just a cleaning, and some hi heat RTV on the back of the pads will fix it if as he says the brakes are in good condition..otherwise..

 Hi Chuck

Yes he took it for a drive, removed the wheels.  I was there for a good hour while he looked around. The squeak is still there and driving me a little nuts lol I guess I have a project for this weekend. Thanks for the help.
