Shocks for Bullwinkle???

So I'm in need of some new rear shocks for my '48 1/2 ton.

My spec's:

- 1982-94 S10 leafs springs (4 leafs, 3/1, 2.5" wide = 1350lb springs: probably a bit tired!).

- truck weighs 3200lbs on the original frame.

- 1985 Camaro 10 bolt rear.

- XP7 upper mount & L1/CP3 lower mount (I know these shocks are not S10 but that's what I've got for mounting points).

- Not looking for anything too stiff, I try my best not to go off-roading and I only tow my 1400lb tent trailer 2 or 3 times/year.

Should I go with a lighter spring (1100lb cap.)?

No, I haven't removed the shocks to do a max/min measurement.

Currently it has 5802ST Monroe Sensa-Trac Shocks. (20.875"ext, 12.75" comp, 8.125"travel).

What do you internet wizards suggest?

Not going to make a sugggestion but I used monroe sensitrack from a ford aerostar.
www.monroe.com/en-US/e-catalog/37061

worked ok for me. It's just a light truck shock.

If those shocks fit and suspension travel isn't an issue, just get another set. You could get a set of KYB shocks, they are another high quality shock.
