Main Floor Bathroom Reno Ver. 2
Permalink

This is the second reno of the unisex bathroom in 16 yrs.

Wife wanted a soaker tub installed, 24 1/2" tall x 33" wide. Room is 5' wide and 9 long to the door.

Hardie Backer Board in.

New Sub-floor down

Fitting the heated floor mat

Detra membrane in

I cut some of the floor tile to trim around the window.

ThanX guys.

Chuk, it was the biggest sink I could fit in the small space. One thing I hate is a small sink that you can barely wash your hands in.

The tub was one of those really short (12") steel tubs.

As the title says, VER. 2  LOL When I bought this house 16 yrs ago, the bathroom got reno'd then, most of this house was demo'd back then.

When I bought this house 16 years ago, 75% of the interior was gutted to the studs.
1000 sq ft bungalow

New main bath
Kitchen
Exterior walls in two bedrooms
Complete basement gut - Pic's to come.
Nice size deck out back.

8 years or so ago, all new hardwood on the main floor.

Detached Garage added in the backyard.

And to top all this off, I'm an IT Guy. hmm My Daddy taught me well. He was one of those European's that came here in the 50's and built half the town. Well maybe not half but has left his mark on some big land marks in the downtown core. (Roy Thompson Hall, concrete pour of the CN Tower, Main construction of what is now the Rogers Centre)

When someone wanted a cantina on our street, all the old Portuguese would get together and tear down on Friday and have the cantina built buy Sunday evening. No worring about city inspectors back then on the weekends. wink biggrin
